The following activities are planned to be carried out within the unit:

• Planning and executing projects and activities for the international communication and promotion of KOP and the Presidency, and ensuring these activities are conducted in accordance with established procedures and principles.

• Managing the Presidency’s international relations and communications.

• Initiating activities and efforts to enable the KOP region to benefit from grant, credit, project, and support programs of international and intergovernmental institutions and organizations such as the World Bank, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Islamic Development Bank, the European Commission, and the United Nations Development Programme.

• Researching foreign-source funds required to achieve national and regional development goals, submitting projects, monitoring processes, and implementing projects.

• Participating on behalf of the Presidency in international and foreign events such as briefings, meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, symposia, opening ceremonies, exhibitions, fairs, sports and cultural activities, etc.; engaging in joint organizations; and contributing to the planning and execution of these activities.

• Conducting negotiations with local and national official institutions and organizations (such as Provincial Directorates, Universities, Municipalities, Non-Governmental Organizations, etc.) and following up on official procedures for all types of international projects and collaborations to be initiated and executed on behalf of the KOP Presidency.

• Sharing knowledge and experiences in the regional development process in an integrated manner with international institutions, organizations, universities, and non-governmental organizations; evaluating cooperation opportunities in areas such as mutual expert exchange and technology transfer; and coordinating studies conducted within the Presidency in this context.

• Monitoring developments related to EU, UN, and other international regional development goals and strategies, and ensuring cooperation with relevant institutions for the effective use of international Programs and Structural instruments.

• Monitoring the EU accession process and preparing and implementing the necessary program for evaluations related to the KOP Region.

• Harmony, coordination, and information sharing with all coordinatorships under the Presidency in matters and processes to be carried out within this unit will be conducted under the supervision of the Presidency.
