In line with its designated mission and vision, the Konya Plain Project (KOP) Regional Development Administration carries out the following duties pursuant to Decree Law No. 642:
a) Preparing action plans to ensure that the projects and activities of relevant institutions and organizations aimed at accelerating regional development are implemented in harmony and coherence, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating their implementation.
b) Ensuring inter-institutional coordination for the effective and efficient execution of public investments included in the action plans.
c) Preparing, prioritizing, and submitting to the relevant institutions and organizations, as well as to the Ministry of Industry and Technology, investment proposals required by the action plans, in cooperation with the relevant institutions and organizations.
d) Monitoring and evaluating investment projects carried out by institutions and organizations within the region.
e) Upon request from the relevant public institutions and organizations, assisting in the development of investment projects, and, when necessary, providing financial and technical support in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
f) Supporting the joint and more effective work of development agencies by ensuring the complementarity and integrity of regional plans, and developing opinions and recommendations on these matters.
g) Conducting or commissioning research, feasibility studies, projects, and analyses regarding the development potential, problems, and opportunities of the regions.
h) Designing and implementing innovative support programs—without duplicating existing projects and programs—for the public sector, private sector, and non-governmental organizations, particularly in the fields of institutional capacity and human resources, in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
i) Performing other tasks assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.*

Our Area of Responsibility
The Konya Plain Project (KOP) Regional Development Administration was established in 2011 by Decree Law No. 642 to accelerate the development of the regions covered by the project through research, planning, programming, project design, monitoring, evaluation, and coordination services required for investments in the KOP Region, which initially comprised the provinces of Aksaray, Karaman, Konya, and Niğde.
Under the aforementioned Decree Law, the jurisdiction of the KOP Administration initially included Aksaray, Karaman, Konya, and Niğde. With the Council of Ministers Decision dated 6 June 2016 and numbered 2016/8870, Nevşehir and Yozgat were added, and with the Council of Ministers Decision dated 7 September 2016 and numbered 2016/9140, Kırıkkale and Kırşehir were also included.
