With the participation of our Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, the opening ceremony for projects supported in Yozgat by the Konya Plain Project (KOP) Regional Development Administration and the Central Anatolia Development Agency (ORAN), as well as the protocol signing ceremony for new projects, was held.

Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, who came to Yozgat to attend various programs, participated in the Collective Opening Ceremony of projects supported by the Konya Plain Project (KOP) Regional Development Administration and the Central Anatolia Development Agency (ORAN), held at the Governorship Conference Hall.

Minister Kacır stated, “During the 23-year period that can be described as the ‘golden era’ in our country’s history, we have adorned all 81 provinces with works and services as a result of the steps we have taken.”

During his speech, Minister Kacır wished success for the projects, with a total value of 198 million TL, which were inaugurated and for which agreements would be signed at the ceremony.

He emphasized that under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a historic development initiative has been implemented, building a strong and stable Türkiye with a vision that considers not only today but also the future.

“We Have Enriched Every Corner of Our Country with New Investments and Projects”

Highlighting groundbreaking achievements in many areas from the economy to industry, from technology to exports, Minister Kacır said:

“Today, in a redefined global system, there is a Türkiye that is the pole star of its region, an island of trust and stability in a geography surrounded by a ring of fire. There is a Türkiye that is an indispensable link in global supply chains, a hub of technology and production. From the defense industry to space technologies, from the automotive sector to renewable energy, there is a Türkiye capable of developing and producing its own technological solutions. During this 23-year period, which can be described as a ‘golden era’ in our country’s history, we have adorned all 81 provinces with works and services, activating the high potential of each city. We have enriched every corner of our country with new investments and projects.”

Kacır noted that Yozgat has also received its fair share in this great development journey.

He reminded that the new incentive system, reflecting Türkiye’s development priorities and meeting investors’ current needs, entered into force in May upon the decision of President Erdoğan, and that under the new model, which aims to spread high value-added investments across the country, comprehensive support continues.

Kacır stated that within the scope of priority investments in Yozgat, half of the employer’s share of the social security premium for employees to be employed will be covered by the Ministry for eight years, and if the investment is in organized industrial zones, this period will be extended to twelve years.

“We Have Identified a Total of 324 Investment Topics”

Minister Kacır explained:

“We have increased the financing support for loans to be used in investments in our province to 24 million TL. We provide 10.75 points interest/profit share support. We offer tax reductions with an investment contribution rate of up to 30%, depending on the nature of the investment. We grant VAT exemption and customs duty exemption on investment machinery. All these initiatives aim to activate the high potential of our province and further enhance its production capacity. Our Local Development Initiative Incentive Program is one of the main elements of our new incentive system. In preparation for the program, our Development Agencies’ Investment Support Offices carried out extensive fieldwork and intensive consultations. As a result of a multi-dimensional evaluation process, we identified a total of 324 investment topics, four for each province.”

“Up to 240 Million TL in Financing Support”

Kacır stated that in Yozgat, integrated livestock and meat processing, packaged ready-to-eat food production, value-added food production from pulses, and agricultural machinery manufacturing have been prioritized, and that financing support of up to 240 million TL is provided for these investments.

“597 Million TL Support to Yozgat”

Emphasizing that their priority in the Century of Türkiye is to bring Yozgat together with projects that reflect its wealth, potential, and qualified human resources, Minister Kacır noted that they have provided 597 million TL in support for 169 projects in Yozgat through the Central Anatolia Development Agency.

“500 Decares to Be Powered by Geothermal Energy”

Stating that Yozgat has high geothermal potential, Kacır said that with the Yerköy Geothermal Well Building, Reinjection Line, and Automation System Installation Project, 500 decares of the Geothermal-Based Greenhouse Specialized Zone will be powered by geothermal energy.

“We Aim to Offer a Quality Tourism Experience to Domestic and Foreign Tourists”

Kacır noted that they would also sign three new projects:

“With the Çandır Kozan and Şefaatli Hüyükkışla Closed System Irrigation Facilities, we will equip our province’s fertile agricultural lands with modern irrigation infrastructure, ensuring our producers’ access to water. With the Akdağmadeni Rural Tourism Project, we are promoting Yozgat’s natural beauty in a way that balances preservation and utilization. We aim to offer domestic and foreign tourists a quality tourism experience through glamping facilities, camping and caravan areas, and event and sports zones. This infrastructure will, of course, stimulate the local economy and create new employment opportunities. With the approval of our President, we have created specific development roadmaps for each province within our National Regional Development Strategy. In our province, we have prioritized sectors such as wood processing, hemp-based products, mining resources, and geothermal-based greenhouse farming. We will also ensure that Yozgat’s geothermal resources, which have significant health tourism potential, gain the recognition they deserve through branding initiatives.”
