Gemstone Processing Project

The Keme mushroom is a species of mycorrhizal fungus and lives in symbiosis with its host plant, Helianthemum spp. (Sunrose, Rockrose).

In the Yerköy region of Yozgat, one of the most significant issues is the narrow range of agricultural products due to climatic conditions.

Through this project, the aim is to ensure the effective production, processing, and marketing of a local bean variety cultivated by farmers, processed by farmer organizations, and marketed by these same organizations.

The project basin, which includes Güneysınır District of Konya Province, consists of marginal lands that cannot be irrigated and have no irrigation potential, making it a region experiencing continuous migration. Medicinal and aromatic plants are of great importance for utilizing unirrigated, arid, unproductive, and idle lands in rural areas. Through this project, the aims are to extract oil from the lavender produced by farmers in Güneysınır district, thereby improving quality, increasing income and welfare levels, and bringing marginal lands into agricultural use.
