The project aims to cover the full cost of energy audits to be conducted for all businesses of all sizes operating in the KOP Region, provided that the businesses first conduct existing Energy Efficiency Audits and send at least one existing employee to either Energy Manager Training or Audit-Project Training, within the framework of the provincial budget. It is anticipated that the Energy Audits to be conducted will contribute to the creation of Energy Audit Maps, the employment of trained personnel, and awareness-raising activities related to the preparation processes for the Green Deal requirements.
Based on the reports generated, measurements conducted for public institutions revealed that 16 public institutions could save a total of 12.5 million TL/year in energy costs and reduce carbon emissions by 2,000 tons of CO2/year. Measurements conducted in private enterprises revealed that energy savings totaling 70 million TL/year could be achieved in 14 private enterprises, reducing carbon emissions by 12,850 tons of CO2/year.
The primary objective of the Energy Efficiency Measurement Support Project is to ensure that the necessary revisions are made to the facility or building based on the measurement results, thereby making the facility or building efficient. Subsequently, the energy consumption of the facility or building made efficient will be lower than the current situation, contributing to reducing the costs of planned renewable energy investments (e.g., solar power plants, wind power plants, etc.).
