In areas within our region where livestock activities and mobility are intensive, the project aims to support investment initiatives for the establishment, rehabilitation, and licensing of modern animal markets/exchanges, animal parks and fairs, and slaughterhouse facilities. This is intended to enhance animal health and disease control, as well as to develop the trade of animals, meat, and dairy products.

The project basin, which includes Güneysınır District of Konya Province, consists of marginal lands that cannot be irrigated and have no irrigation potential, making it a region experiencing continuous migration. Medicinal and aromatic plants are of great importance for utilizing unirrigated, arid, unproductive, and idle lands in rural areas. Through this project, the aims are to extract oil from the lavender produced by farmers in Güneysınır district, thereby improving quality, increasing income and welfare levels, and bringing marginal lands into agricultural use.

Seventeen percent of these businesses operate in the automotive sector, 15% in machining and sheet metal processing, 13% in metal goods, and 12% in plastic goods. Specifically in the KOP Region, there are 57 small industrial sites and approximately 11,000 businesses.
