With the pasture rehabilitation, an increase in profitability in small ruminant livestock farming is foreseen.

Through the portable sheepfold projects, the objectives are to improve shelter conditions and thereby enhance animal welfare, to prevent productivity losses in animal husbandry, to produce healthy and high-quality animal products, to prevent the establishment of permanent shelters in pastures, to clear irregular structures within pastures, and to develop alternative methods that will facilitate the reclamation of pasturelands.

The project locations are the districts of Sorgun, Sarıkaya, Saraykent, and Akdağmadeni in Yozgat province. Planned to be initiated on a pilot basis, the project aims to reduce the high rate of calf mortality experienced in cattle farming, minimize diarrhea-related calf deaths, and contribute to the national economy.
