The greenhouse projects aim to achieve high yield per unit area, enable value-added production on small and fragmented lands, allow early and late-season production, reduce the carbon footprint, and promote the concept of local production for local consumption.

Located in a central position, the district holds an important place in regional livestock trade relative to its scale. With 95,000 small ruminants and 47,000 large ruminants, Eskil is one of the significant livestock centers in the region.

Through portable sheepfold projects; the aims are to improve shelter conditions and thereby increase animal welfare, to prevent losses in livestock productivity, to produce healthy and high-quality animal products, to prevent the formation of permanent shelters in pastures, to vacate irregular structures within pastures, and to develop alternative methods that will facilitate the reclamation of pastures.

Among the agricultural products produced in Aksaray, the most widely cultivated and preferred for snacks are sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. With the integrated seed facility established through this project, the products are collected directly from farmers with minimal handling. Inside the facility, the products are dried at the correct temperature in a drying machine, ensuring that their color and quality remain unchanged. This allows the processing, which would normally take weeks, to be completed in the shortest possible time. Farmers are able to sell their products shortly after harvest, increasing the market value of their produce.

With this project, in the province of Karaman, where livestock activities and movements are intensive, it is planned to establish a new livestock market in place of the existing and unhealthy market, within the framework of the “Regulation on Licensing and Inspection Procedures for Livestock Sales Places”, in order to ensure animal health and disease control and to develop the trade of livestock, meat, and milk.

Through the portable sheepfold projects, the objectives are to improve shelter conditions and thereby enhance animal welfare, to prevent productivity losses in animal husbandry, to produce healthy and high-quality animal products, to prevent the establishment of permanent shelters in pastures, to clear irregular structures within pastures, and to develop alternative methods that will facilitate the reclamation of pasturelands.
