Merkez Derbent Village Closed Irrigation System Completion Project

Before the project, the farmers of Derbent Village practiced dry farming on agricultural lands located in Küme Creek, Kayalı Boğaz, and Kavaklı areas. With the project, irrigation water has been delivered to these agricultural lands through closed pipeline systems.
With the contribution of ₺4,500,000 from the KOP Regional Development Administration, the project was completed. As a result, 43 hectares of land were equipped with a closed irrigation and pressurized irrigation system, enabling 150 farming families to practice irrigated agriculture. Additionally, the project increased the annual Crop Production Value to approximately ₺2,444,072.
