Karaman Başyayla Central Irrigation Project

Considering the small size of the parcels in the area, the narrow and difficult access of routes, the steep topographic slope (ranging between 15% and 35%), the presence of rocky ground in certain parts, and the unsuitability of the land structure for pipe excavation, the project planned the installation of different diameter pipes: 20,802 meters of Ø150 mm steel pipe and 2,220 meters of Ø250 mm steel pipe, totaling 23,022 meters of steel pipelines. Water transmission and controlled water distribution were ensured through a digital prepaid card system.

 

With the contribution of 23,841,630.20 ₺ from the KOP Regional Development Administration, the project was completed, enabling irrigation of 155 hectares with a closed system and transition to pressurized irrigation systems, thereby supporting the agricultural activities of 700 farming families. In addition, the project resulted in an annual Crop Production Value of approximately 15,078,329 ₺.

Demiryurt Cooperative Herd Management System
The beneficiary of the project, S.S. Demiryurt Agricultural Development Cooperative, was established in 2005 in Demiryurt Village with 30 members. At that time, the cooperative benefited from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s 30x10 investment program (10 cattle for each of 30 families) and began production in a shared barn.

Nevşehir / Kozaklı / Hacıfakılı Village Dam-Based Closed Irrigation System Project
In Kozaklı District’s Hacıfakılı Village, a dam and concrete canals were constructed over Bağlıca Creek in previous years. Over time, the concrete canals lost their functionality and were damaged, causing interruptions in water conveyance.
